Dalton & Hannah [Richmond, IN]

It could not have been a more lovely day for a wedding. You never really know what you’re going to get in the beginning of April in Indiana, but Hannah & Dalton got pretty perfect weather to go along with their pretty perfect day. I was so excited to be a part of this wedding. Hannah is my boyfriend’s sister, so I was thrilled [and just a little nervous;)] to be able to capture this awesome day for their family.

Grace (Hannah’s little sister) was leafing through a Seventeen magazine during her wait at the salon. I know she wasn’t really interested in what it said, but I kept looking over at what page she was on to see if there was anything funny that she was looking at. Finally caught her on a good one.

It was the boy’s turn first to head to the reception location for groomsmen photos. This party bus had a built-in photo booth- pretty awesome. For as many weddings as I’ve been to, I’ve never seen one of those!

Hannah surprised all the boys, including Dalton, with a secret superhero garment of her own: a WonderWoman garter.

WEDDING: Brett & Emily [Houston]

I was absolutely thrilled when Emily & Brett asked me to be a part of their wedding in Houston. Not only because I love to travel for photography, but also because I have known Emily for the majority of my life, and to be able to spend her wedding day with her from start to finish was just incredible. I love telling this story from last April about her and Brett’s relationship : I was visiting Emily in Houston and she told me about this guy she had gone on one date with. Then (semi)-jokingly asked if I’m free next March to shoot their wedding. Even though it had the cadence of a joke, knowing Emily, I knew she was actually being quite serious. Then there I was less than a year later and their beautiful wedding in Houston.

Be sure to check out their engagement session here!

Her bridemaid Maddy’s house was a dream to get ready in. Amazing light & decor. Kinda made me want to completely redecoration my apartment…

Putting on her mother’s veil:)

One of Emily’s gifts to Brett, engraved with the coordinates to the church where they met.

Brett’s reaction to their first look was the best :)

Stopping traffic for his bride :)

Her girls from Indiana..

… & her girls from Houston.

My favorite;)
