Another incredible experience with Indy Hub! It is so incredible to work with this organization. It truly helps me experience more of what the city of Indianapolis has to offer. [And it doesn’t hurt that Indy Hub’s office is now in the downstairs floor of my apartment complex!;)] Check them out here to see about getting involved with their events!
This blog post is about a series of events they are putting on to introduce Indy residents to different neighborhoods within the city called “Hello Neighbor.” For this event, a group began at the Cultural Trail office downtown and rode our bikes (many rented Pacers bikeshare bikes) over to Garfield Park. For a large group like ours, it took about 20-30 minutes to arrive in the Garfield Park neighborhood. The Cultural Trail is one of the things I love most about the city. Everything is so accessible and safe if you just want a relaxing ride around town [unless you are attempting to take photos of other riders like I was while still keeping up with them, then you might almost get hit by multiple cars as I did..;)]

Love Indy on a nice day like this when so many bikers are out on the trail:)
Passing Fountain Square and about to jump on another trail that takes you straight to Garfield Park.
We got tours from Garfield Park residents of the park & conservatory about all the events that take place there.
We then got an exclusive look to Big Car‘s new (old) building in Garfield Park.
Next & final leg: a home tour. This family welcomed us into their 100 year-old home on Garfield Park Drive to show us the kind of character one might find in a home in this neighborhood.
It was a great experience touring a neighborhood I have never been to, even though it is just a couple miles from where I currently live. And it kiiiinda made me event want to move there;)
