IIDA’s World Fair [Fishers, IN]

The Indiana branch of the International Interior Design Association [IIDA] recently threw an event at the Historic Ambassador House in Fishers. When I was first contacted to shoot this event, I thought it would be a typical business party where I would awkwardly walk around and snap some photos of guests eating and talking amongst each other. But, let me tell you, it was NOTHING like that and was by far the coolest business event I’ve ever been to. The theme was “The 1920s World Fair” and was complete with costumes, a hot air balloon, speakeasy booth, stilt-walker and a murder mystery. Each business sponsor created their own 20s-themed tent with games and prizes. At the end of the event they announced the major prize winners and “arrested” the “murderer” in the mystery that was ongoing throughout the event. It was evident how much time was put into throwing this event, and I was just happy that I was invited to capture it all! [Oh, and get to ride in a hot air balloon for the first time;)]
