We began the morning driving an hour together to Acadia National Park from Orland. Laura put on her dress in the woods then met Cy out by the water. We shot some portraits in the gorgeous scenery -both wearing their hiking boots- before heading back to the ceremony site. It felt like we started the day all over because this is when Laura got her hair and makeup done, so she had a whole new look for their ceremony!

This land belongs to one of their dear family friends. It was truly a perfect wedding setting with an adorable guest house (usually an rentable Airbnb) for everyone to get ready in and by the main house was where Sue prepared the food for all the guests that evening. (They had a classic Maine lobster boil for the rehearsal dinner the night before, and I had the clam linguine for my meal at the wedding!) The ceremony ended as the sun was setting over the water, then the guests walked over at dusk for dinner and drinks. Casual, relaxing, & still so elegant and beautiful.
